God's Love & Creation

There are a lot of scriptures that speak of God's love for us. There may be equally the number of scriptures that speak of God's creative work. There are even a few that speak of God's love and its connection to God's creative work. In life, we are able to experience God's love as displayed in his redemptive work in Christ as well as God's creation as we live our lives in this world. Many of the Psalms speak of God's mighty works, both his saving, everlasting love and the wonders of his beautiful creation. One of those passages which speak of God's love and his creative work together is found in Psalm 33.

"For the word of the Lord is upright, and all his work is done in faithfulness. He loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the steadfast love of the Lord. By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, and by the breath of his mouth all their host. He gathers the waters of the sea as a heap; he puts the deeps in storehouses. Let all the earth fear the Lord; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him! For he spoke, and it came to be; he commanded, and it stood firm" (Psalm 33:4-9).

God has done marvelous things. Through his creation, we are able to experience his matchless love. When you walk outside and see the beauty of the day, behold God's love. The earth is full of the steadfast love of the Lord!

Following his creative work God’s says, “It is good.” Indeed it is. His work shouts forth his glory (Psalm 19). But not only his glory, God’s love is sounded forth from the work of his hands. Make sure you look around you at the beauty of creation and see God’s love.
